The Good: I just got off the phone with Jackson's pediatrition (have I mentioned how much I am impressed with this doctor and how much I dislike the BYU student health center doctors?). The results from the latest round of stool testing came back yesterday with all things looking good for Jackson. That was such a relief, but at the same time frustrating because that meant we were still stuck at square one. After talking with a pediatric GI doctor our pediatrician determined a new plan. I guess all things are still pointing in the direction that Jackson has some kind of allergy. So the next step is to determine for sure whether or not it is an allergy. It is looking unlikely that the allergy is milk protein since I have now been dairy free for 3 1/2 weeks with no improvement. So starting Saturday we will put Jackson on a hypoallergenic formula for two weeks. If poop clears up in that time then we know that it is an allergy and then we just have to figure out what the allergy is. If that doesn't work then we go back to more testing and a visit with the GI doc. In the mean time I continue pumping so that if Jackson is able to go back to breast milk then the possibility will be there. The other great thing is that for now I can go off of the dairy free diet! The first question is, what is the best place to get my very first ice cream from?
The Bad: While swimming laps in the pool earlier this morning the wind blew my towel, flip flops, PHONE, and VIDEO MONITOR into the pool. Needless to say modern technology has spoiled me and I freaked out over the incident. My first thought was to how I was going to get in touch with Thom. He always calls me on his lunch break, and I continually tell him how much those mid-day calls mean to me. So I was convinced that if I wasn't able to answer that call at noon then he was going to think Jackson and I were dead. I was also worried because I was expecting a call back from Jackson's doctor. So first order of business was to make sure I got word to Thom about what happened, and then find an AT&T store around me. It took me about two hours of frantic emails, chats, and searches (the people we live with are out of town, so there was no one to help me know where any stores were) and both were accomplished. Thanks to Chase and Brittney for being online and being willing to help me out. No thanks to google directions I finally found the AT&T store and was able to get me a new phone. I went from a really nice touch screen phone that I got for virtually nothing to the most basic of phones that doesn't even have a camera or volume control buttons. It was the cheapest I could get and only cost me $30.
The Ugly: In my frazzled state I forgot about showering and getting ready at all, so I went to the store smelling like chlorine in basketball shorts, one of Thom's baggy t-shirts, a hat, and mascara smeared under my eyes.
On that note I am off to shower and finally get ready for the day.

That is so good about Jackson. We've been praying for the little guy. I'm more impressed with you going off dairy. Dairy keeps me going. I could never do that! Keep us updated on what he ends up being allergic to.
I'm glad your pediatrician is so great and I hope you can figure this all out soon!
oh, and I'm sure that even in bball shorts, thom's t-shirt, and smeared mascara you were still one smokin' hot mama.
Good that you can go back on dairy, but bad that you still don't know what the problem is. Hang in there. I'm impressed at your pumping just in case you can breastfeed again. Good luck with that. We miss you all! And so sorry about your wet phone and video monitor. Was it ruined too?
